I work from a culturally sensitive, mindfulness-based, solutions-oriented and strength-based approach. Our time together will be tailored to your unique goals as well as your strengths and challenges. Therapy that focuses on the mind and body connection, treating the whole person, utilizing the person-centered approach because our time together is about you, your needs and the outcome that you desire.
Depending on your needs, I may use cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative, motivational interviewing, relational, dialectic behavioral therapy, existential-humanistic, interpersonal, solution focused therapy, or psychodynamic approaches. Whatever changes that you want to achieve through our work together, the goal will be to help you to increase self-awareness and self-acceptance which will open you up to making healthy and informed choices about the different aspects of life. During the initial visit, we will discuss what brought you to therapy and what you would like to achieve from our sessions together.
